It seems that a former Desperate Housewives and Mad Men antagonist will be posing problems for the BAU team; TVLine has reported that Mark Moses (known to most as either Paul Young or Herman 'Duck' Phillips) won't be playing a criminal that they are tracking, but a senator heading up a committee that is investigating a case that was apparently screwed up by the BAU. This will be the focus of the season opener on September 21 and the show will pick up in 'real time' four months after the finale of season 6. This is a previously unseen case, but there will be flashbacks to show the assignment as it is being investigated and picked apart by Moses and his committee.
We can also confirm thanks again to TVLine that the season premiere will also include the return and re-introduction of 'dead' Prentiss. This is one mystery that I am sure most fans will be glad to hear will be resolved quickly. How the team will respond to this will be interesting; there will be hurt feelings but the pragmatists in all of them should also understand the reasons for the deception.
